  Apprenticeships

Dial One Wolfedale Electric is a training company, and we fully support the electrical apprenticeship process.  We are firm believers that the skilled trades offer solid careers to Canadian workers, and industry in Ontario and Canada will always require qualified trades people to operate their businesses.  The future for our skilled trades is very promising!

However, apprenticeships are hard to come by.  In the Construction & Maintenance (Electrician License 309) field, the current Ontario government ratio of licensed electricians to registered apprentices is 3:1.  That means that a company must have 3 licensed electricians for every 1 registered apprentice on staff.  Dial One Wolfedale Electric is bound by this ratio as an employer in Ontario, and as a result, we don’t have opportunities to hire new apprentices very often.  The ratios dictate when this is possible for us, but generally, we take new applicants in the summer months.  We are always looking at our ratios in order to get new workers into the trade!

As a quality company, we are looking for the best.  If you are interested in obtaining an apprenticeship with Dial One Wolfedale Electric, please be aware that applicants who have successfully completed a Pre-Apprentice course through a licensed facility (i.e. Centre for Skills Development or a recognized community college), will be given preferential standing in our recruitment.  Others are encouraged to apply, but please understand that we are restricted by the government ratios.

We want the best, and we will hire the best new workers when given the opportunity!
