Dial One Wolfedale Electric has always been committed to providing the highest standard of service. Now, we are involved in a new environmental initiative that offers state-of-the-art, sustainable building development.
LEED certification recognizes buildings that:
- lower operating costs reduce landfill waste conserve both energy and water reduce greenhouse gas emission
- demonstrate an owner's commitment to environmental and social responsibility
The three buildings currently in progress are located at Morningside Road, Financial Drive and Century Avenue. All are being designed and built according to LEED principles that strive for the highest green building and performance measures. Third-party evaluators will review these buildings at each stage of development and will certify the finished product.

HOLIDAY SAFETY CHECKLIST
Ensure a safe and happy holiday season for your employees and your business by avoiding unnecessary fire risks and accidents with this helpful checklist:
- Do not use inexpensive extension cords unless you know they are CSA approved.Never place paper decorations near heat sources.Don't allow employees to stand on chairs and desks when decorating – ensure a proper ladder is used.Always tape down or hide extension cords to prevent tripping.Inspect strings of holiday lights each year before use - always throw out damaged sets.Don't use more than three standard-size sets of lights per single extension cord.Securely fasten outdoor lights to walls and trees with insulated staples – never nails.
- Plug all outdoor lights and decorations into circuits that are properly protected by ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs).
Finally, be sure to place all holiday lighting on timers for greater energy efficiency, and particularly to reduce the risk of fire inside your facility.
